[-empyre-] Introduces Patrick Lichty

who will discuss his many faceted practice including his curatiorial project
on wearable, handheld and PDA art and his new wristcam video on alien
abduction.

Patrick is a technologically-based intermedia artist, writer, and
independent curator of nearly two decades who concerns himself with the
social and representational issues of technological media and the impact of
technology on the self, society and culture through intervention and
literature.

He works in diverse technological media, including printmaking,
kinetics, video, generative music, and neon: and has been involved with solo
and collaborative works with venues which include the Whitney, Torino, and
Venice Bienniales as well as the International Symposium on the
Electronic Arts (ISEA).

His latest projects are a curatorial project on PDA and Nomadic art entitled
(re)distributions: PDA/IA/Nomadic art as cultural intervention, and 8 Bits
or Less , a short-form video created with serial wristcam imagery. He is
also Executive Editor of Intelligent Agent  magazine and a YesMan.
